Chapter 255: “Her Feelings” Shinomi meets a friend for lunch, who insists that Shinomi introduces her legendary boyfriend, Eikichi, to her when she starts Tsujido High. Sometime later, reflects that she isn’t really Eikichi’s girlfriend and wonders if Eikichi heard her when she screamed that she loved him. All of a sudden, Eikichi jumps in from the window and casually takes a drink out of the fridge. An enraged Shinomi kicks Eikichi down and asks what is he doing at her apartment. Eikichi tells a flustered Shinomi that he came to pick her up and take her to the beach. A happy Shinomi states that it’s been a while since she sat on Eikichi’s tail and asks if he came to give his answer from the other day. Eikichi stops at a love hotel called “The Beach” and Shinomi beats him up. He reassures her that he is joking and takes her to the beach for real, where they join Ryuji,, Tsukai, Yui, Saejima and surprisingly, Mariko, for a bonfire and sake. As the boys mess around with fireworks, Shinomi and Mariko talk about how stupid boys are and that they never grow up. Mariko asks Shinomi if she likes Eikichi and Shinomi admits it but states that she has no idea what Eikichi is thinking. Mariko invites Shinomi for noodles elsewhere and Shinomi tells Mariko about her confession, who laughs at the circumstances of the confession. She tells Shinomi that men are shy and do not like it when girls are forward. Mariko proposes a plan to find out if Eikichi is interested. Sometime later, Mariko takes Shinomi shopping for a bikini and tells her to do exactly as she says. Elsewhere, Eikichi receives a mysterious vibrating package in the mail. |

Chapter 256: “For You…” A nervous Eikichi opens the package only to find a cell phone set on vibrate. Pressing the button, a voice tells Eikichi that he has been one of the lucky few selected to trial the phone. Eikichi only needs to answer a three-question survey to win another prize. Eikichi is disinterested and the voice tries to hook Eikichi in, promising a wide screen 3D TV with all you can watch porn. The voice starts asking Eikichi about his love life and who he is interested in at the moment. Eikichi notes that the voice sounds vaguely familiar and the phone hangs up, revealing to be Shinomi and Mariko on the other end. Mariko tells Shinomi that their plan is working and tells her to put on the bikini they bought. We cut back to Eikichi, who has received an old TV in the mail and the phone rings, telling him that the TV is a present from a woman who has feelings for him. The voice tells Eikichi that the very woman is in front of him inside the TV. We cut to Shinomi sitting in a dark box and she tells Eikichi that the woman has liked him for a long time and has turned down many girls who called to her. She informs Eikichi that she has given up on waiting, realising that nothing would happen if she doesn’t take the first step. She asks Eikichi if he accepts. She remembers Mariko’s plan for her to jump out in her bikini as soon as Eikichi accepts and he will find her irresistible. Eikichi accepts and Shinomi tells him to hit the switch. Shinomi jumps out, declaring that she is Eikichi’s present. Shinomi is shocked that she has interrupted a family eating dinner as Eikichi exclaims on the other end that he can’t see the present. Outside, the postman knocks on the door, shouting that he delivered the package to Mr. Komezuka instead of Onizuka. |

Chapter 257: “We Rarely Meet, So…” At a love hotel, Ryuji and Nagisa decide on which themed room to get. After sex, Nagisa confirms with Ryuji that all their recent dates have been love hotels and Ryuji states that they rarely meet. A worried Nagisa doesn’t want them to run out of things to do besides sex and Ryuji tells her this is what long term couples do. Suddenly, Ryuji realises that their time is up and the couple quickly rush out. As Ryuji leads Nagisa by the hand, Nagisa wonders when Ryuji’s hand taking her hand made her heart stop skipping a beat and tries not to think about what would happen to them when it gets more worse. Sometime later, Shinomi surmises that it must be hard on Nagisa with Ryuji getting into trouble all the time. Nagisa states that she is happy regardless and Shinomi wonders if Nagisa’s parents would protest less if Ryuji were more behaved. They are hit on by a group of guys and Nagisa hears one of the guys tell his friend that Ryuji kill him if he lays his hand on Nagisa. Later, Nagisa asks Ryuji to take her to an amusement park and Ryuji agrees. At Yokohama Cosmo World, the two ride the ferris wheel and Ryuji gets on top of Ryuji, stating that no one can see them. A depressed Nagisa runs off, dropping their packed lunch. Nagisa wanders the streets alone and starts to cry when a surveyor asks her if she is happy this very moment. Elsewhere, a young man named Saijo Akira rejects a cute girl, explaining that he already likes someone else. His friends chide him for rejecting such a girl and warn him that his crush is risky; to which he replies he is aware. |

Chapter 258: “P.S. I Love You” At basketball pratice, Nagisa appears preoccupied and is scolded by her senior, Minori. Minori asks Nagisa if something happened, like have a fight with Ryuji and Nagisa brushes it off, showing off her special shot but misses. Akira catches Nagisa’s ball and hands it back to her, giving her tips for dribbling. Akira’s friends call out to him and he states that he has something to ask Nagisa. Later, Minori is surprised to discover that the rich basketball prodigy Akira invited Nagisa to a movie. Nagisa states that she doesn’t care about money and hates people who live off their parents and Minori wonders if Akira knows about Ryuji. Nagisa reveals that she felt somewhat happy, as Akira was the first to ask her out since dating Ryuji but realises she must return the movie ticket. Sometime later, Akira is ecstatic to see Nagisa turn up at their meeting place but Nagisa reveals that she came to return the ticket and apologises. She states that she is already seeing someone and Akira declares that he knows her boyfriend is Ryuji of the Oni-baku. A surprised Nagisa asks why he asked her out despite that and Akira discloses that he fell in love with her. He convinces her to go get a meal with him and the two go to Yakitori Ippei where Akira works part time and the staff mistakes them for a couple. A surprised Nagisa wonders why the rich Akira has to work and the owner reveals that he works because his parents doesn’t give him an allowance and states that Akira is a good kid. As they share a meal, Nagisa reflects on her prejudice for assuming rich kids like Akira were all snobs. Afterwards, Akira insists on walking Nagisa home and the two walk with an awkward silence for a while. Out of the blue, Akira asks Nagisa to marry him. Outside Nagisa’s house, Ryuji wonders why Nagisa is so late coming home and he spots Nagisa with Akira in the distance. |

Nagisa & Saijo Akira Chapter 259: “A Good Person”Ryuji creeps closer and overhears Akira asking a silent Nagisa to marry him. Nagisa laughs it off, thinking it is a joke since they only just met and Akira assures her that he is serious. He asks her for at least a second date if she refuses his proposal, stating that he wants something to remember her by before he graduates and move to Tokyo. Nagisa accepts and Ryuji realises that she is cancelling their date tomorrow. Nagisa tells Akira she wants to go to an amusement park and ride the Ferris wheel. Sometime later, Ryuji tails Akira home, reflecting on his relationship and convinces himself that his relationship with Nagisa strong enough. He follows Akira to karate practice where he witnesses Akira breaking blocks and later to his huge mansion. Ryuji confides with Eikichi, who states that Akira has Ryuji beaten in every aspect. However, Eikichi assures Ryuji to have faith in Nagisa. The next day, Nagisa meets with Akira to head to the amusement park and Akira tells here that she is everything he thought she would be. After several attractions, Nagisa and Akira get on the Ferris wheel where Ryuji lies hidden under the seats in the same booth. Despite having faith in Nagisa, he tells himself that he wants to backup what he believes and notices Nagisa wearing more makeup and a shorter skirt than usual. Nagisa marvels at the view and to Ryuji’s surprise, Akira asks Nagisa to leave everything behind and move to Tokyo with him, promising to make her happy. They gaze into each other’s eyes and Nagisa apologises, stating that Akira is a good person and even though he may make her happy, she could never be happy as she is at the moment with Ryuji. They get off and Akira states that he understands, bidding Nagisa farewell and thanking her. Ryuji casually appears, pretending to be surprised to see Nagisa and offers to try the Ferris wheel with her one more time. |

Chapter 260: “My Neighbour Hinagata” Coming home from pachinko, Eikichi and Ryuji spot a moving van outside their apartment and wonder what kind of person is moving in. They spot a bra fall from one of the boxes and race upstairs to find the new tenant moving next door to their room. The Oni-baku asks one of the movers whom the new tenant is and they are informed it is Hinagata Akiko, sharing the same name as a well-known celebrity. Unable to believe their good fortune, the Oni-baku offers the movers because they are good neighbours. Once the coast is clear, the Oni-baku peeks into one of the boxes to find more lingerie. However, they discover mysterious cucumbers in another box and try to visualise what their neighbour would use it for. In a third box, they discover live stag beetles and rhino beetles. They are interrupted by a cute girl who introduces herself to be Hinagata. The Oni-baku invite her to their room to celebrate and she informs that her older sister, Akiko, is moving in, not her. She promises to send her sister to the Oni-baku’s room when she drops by. Later, they receive a knock on the door and discover a woman with a white bag over her head handing them a gift, claiming to be Akiko and leaves. The package starts to move and crab-like claws poke out the sides and the package crawls out the window. Spooked and believing they are being messed around, the Oni-baku barge next door and demand that Akiko open the door and take off the the bag. A silent Akiko stares at them from the mail slot momentarily before disappearing. That night, the Oni-baku are unable to sleep due to strange noises next door and they are even more curious to see Akiko’s face. The next morning, the Oni-baku discover Akiko brushing her teeth in the communal bathroom, still with a bag over her head but now with a print of Hina (Eikichi’s model crush) on it and they surmise that she did take them into consideration. They are interrupted by Kadena, who thanks the silent Akiko for the delicious present and the Oni-baku surmise that Akiko may be a better person than she seems. |
