Chapter 248: “Please Save Me” Eikichi and Misato decide where they should eat and Eikichi marvels at a display of the newly released Kawasaki Zephyr. Misato states that the Zephyr is too plain and opts for one with a more “kamikaze” style parked nearby. Misato sits on her choice bike and the engine starts. She tells Eikichi that they can go eat after a cruise and tells Eikichi to hop onto the back seat, much to Eikichi’s surprise. As Misato rides on, a happy Eikichi grabs her body and holds on tight, telling her to go harder and faster. Sometime later, a brusied and battered Eikichi sits on the side of the road, with the smashed bike lying in the ditch further up. Misato apologises and despite the accident, Eikichi tells her that she is pretty good on a bike. Misato reveals that she use to ride a little in the past and Eikichi wonders who she really is, hanging around Yakuza men and proficiently riding bikes. They are interrupted by a gang called Oiso Brutal Ninjas, who have arrived to catch the thief of their leader, Masa’s, Shooting Star. Eikichi states that he borrowed it and promises to return it after getting it fixed. The Brutal Ninjas disregard Eikichi’s guarantee and Masa attacks Eikichi with a sickle and chain, narrowly missing him. They are interrupted by Misato, who ignites the Shooting Star with a match and throws down two million yen worth of notes, telling Masa he should have no complaints. A surprised Eikichi is attacked from behind by Masa, who states that he likes money as well as women and declares that he wants Misato as well. A calm Misato pulls out a knife and sticks it to her throat, stating that they can do whatever they want to her body only after they make her die for them. Stunned, they do not notice Eikichi, who grabs them from behind and knocks them down. Looking at Misato, Eikichi wonders why a girl with such beauty and money would value herself so little. He asks her what it is about herself that she can’t stand and a smiling Misato asks Eikichi would he save her if she reveals it to him. |

Eikichi asks if her parents are rich and Misato replies that it’s just a room. Eikichi ticks of a checklist of everything Misato has: good looks, nice apartment, good at cooking and asks her what it is about herself that makes her so unhappy. Misato reaffirms if he would save her and Eikichi replies that it is his duty as a boyfriend. Misato starts listing several complicated situations that would require saving, such as being a toy for older men and an irritated Eikichi tells her to just say she doesn’t want to go out with him. Stating that he has his pride, Eikichi gets up to leave and Misato hugs him from behind, asking if he is sure about a girl with lots of demons. Eikichi tells her that he would protect her and beat down all her demons. As Eikichi leaves sometime later, he realises that he has really fallen in love. At a restaurant, Tsukai tells Shinomi and Yui that Eikichi is going out with the karaoke girl and asks if Shinomi is jealous, who denies that they don’t have that kind of relationship to be jealous. Sometime later, Shinomi stops by the beach on the way home, telling herself to stop messing around and find someone as well. Shinomi kicks a can in frustration and it hits Takezawa, her ex-byfriend, who happens to be sitting beneath. Takezawa gives Shinomi and reveals that he has become an electrician and is in Shonan for a business trip. He tells Shinomi that he is saving money to accomplish his dream of owning a ranch in Australia. He asks an embarrassed Shinomi if she has slepted with Eikichi yet and Shinomi tells Takezawa that Eikichi has got a girlfriend. Shinomi shows Takezawa a photo of Misato, who recognises the girl. The man asks Misato if she told Eikichi this time (implying that there have been others) and she replies yes and tells him to never show his face here again. In Misato’s apartment, Misato walks out wearing nothing but an apron hugs her from behind as she cooks. She tells a playful Eikichi that there is something she needs to tell him and Eikichi reaffirms that nothing can shock him and change his feelings.
