He tells her that Takezawa is willing to fight for her, that he is cool looking and the two match each other. He states to a broken hearted Shinomi that he can finally stop taking care of his kid sister since she has found herself a guy. Shinomi realises that no matter how pretty she has become, no matter how much she has to lie about Takezawa, she is still a sister to Eikichi. Eikichi gives her back her keychain and she throws it onto the ground. She storms off and walks along the beach, wondering why it always has to turn out like this. Outside, Eikichi asks Takezawa why he is doing this to someone he loves and he replies that as a leader, it is his duty to uphold the code. Eikichi throws a punch to Takezawa's chest, declaring that a real man takes care of his woman. Takezawa states that he has the whole gang to answer to and the two men start exchanging blows. Inside, as Shinomi gets slapped by Mitsuya for being difficult, she remember back to when Eikichi first gave her the keychain. He tells Eikichi to stay back, telling him to let the Idaten settle their business and apologises to everyone for causing so much trouble. With his last breath, he tells Eikichi to take care of Shinomi and that even though she appears tough, she is a cry-baby on the inside. A shocked Shinomi asks him why did he stab himself as she was certain the knife was for he and Eikichi chides her, telling her that this was the only way he could save her, that he had planned it from the very beginning and that was how much he liked her.
